About Us

We are a family of six from South Africa and have been traveling the world by land and sea for the last 10 years. We have spent a lot of time in South America, the Caribbean, the U.S., and Central America.

Our first visit to Costa Rica about 4 years ago. While the land in Costa Rica is lush, green and beautiful, it is the people that clinched it for us.

The Costa Ricans, or Ticos, live in such a way that there always seems to be time for fun with family and friends, Pura Vida. Why wait until “retirement” to enjoy spending time with the most important people in your life?

Our Goal

We want to make available affordable land in a secure, serene and natural community of like-minded individuals with minimal restrictions.

Why Costa Rica?

We chose Costa Rica for the friendly nature and acceptance of foreigners by the Costa Rican people as well as:

1. Secure property rights make Costa Rica ideal for foreign investment/ownership.

2. FACT. You can grow almost anything here, all year WITHOUT IRRIGATION !!!

3. Costa Rica has an abundant supply of clean water and fresh air.

4. The words “Personal Freedom” still mean something in Costa Rica.

5. Low property taxes make it easier to own land in Costa Rica.

6. Costa Rica has a wonderful tropical climate all year round.

Suffice to say, there is much more than that, so we moved here permanently two years ago, and are happy to call Costa Rica “home.”  Also, in the very near future, the ability to grow your own produce and have reliable access to clean water will be PRICELESS.
